An Iranian navy jet flew nearly three hundred feet over the water adjacent to the USS Eisenhower. Iran was supposedly performing military training while they also wanted to express their power. While in the Gulf of Oman another Iranian aircraft approached the vessel within one thousand years. In the Persian Gulf this would be completely normal. The naval officer on the boat said as long as they are professionals it is international airspace and they were not even carrying weapons.
Although this event is seemingly harmless it had the potential to become much more dangerous. If the United States saw the plane as a threat they could have easily taken it down which could have started controvery between Iran and the US. Also when the article says it is unusual to see an Iranian plane in the Gulf of Oman this could possibly be foreshadowing on new attacks which could incorporate more of the Middle East or other nations by Iran.
